Career Summary |
John is the senior partner of Best/White LLC and Best/White de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. He founded the company in 1990 after having been in the industrial real estate business since 1974, when he founded Best Real Estate, a company still operating in El Paso, Texas. His major real estate responsibility is centered in Juarez, but he is also active in monitoring the activity of the four other offices in El Paso, Laredo, and McAllen.
Besides real estate, John has been involved in numerous business and cultural activities in both sides of the border. He founded the El Paso Foreign Trade Association in 1989, an organization dedicated to the promotion of international trade along the U.S.-México border. He is also one of the founding members of the Border Trade Alliance, which is the most active private non-profit organization uniting businesses in the United States and México, and recently in Canada. John's cultural activities include: President of the Twelve Travelers Foundation, one of the largest sculpture projects in the U.S.; President of the Americana Museum in El Paso, which sponsored art projects from both the U.S. and Mexican native cultures.

Education |
John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Texas at El Paso where he graduated as the outstanding male student and Student Association President. He later attended the University of Hawaii in Honolulu and finished a Master of Science degree in Oceanography prior to joining the United States Army where he served for three years as an officer with the Army Corps of Engineers. John lives with his wife in Santa Teresa, New Mexico and has three children. |
